So What??!

by Syafiq Azhari

When you look at the this picture, what best describes the baby? Expressing sharp lips and knitting eyebrows are not considered as the most effective way to show that you are in a good mood let alone a happy person. SO WHAT??!(hahaha)

Recently, a research conducted by a group of biologists from a well-known university in Terengganu (the name of the university remains undisclosed) has discovered that the baby seems to be badly affected by a common virus called 'agent-X'.

What makes it even worse it that the virus does actually exist in everyone and will become active when your hormones are not stable. It starts with the spinal cord and then spread into your brain in no time and soon will cause a disease called 'angry'.

Why do we get angry?

Basically, there are two main factors that could lead us to be angry: environment and people. We might experience unfavourable situations in our daily life like misplaced things, bad weather, injured ourselves or any other bad situations that we would rather avoid. We would also get angry when people heap scorn on us, or betray our trust, or even disrespect our opinions or thoughts. These are all some of the reasons of why we get angry.

Effects of anger..

When we develop our anger, we are actually destroying our inner peace and living in constant stress and uncomfortable. Someone who gets angry might retaliate against somebody without putting much consideration into other things but his own satisfaction, and that would definitely destroy the peace and harmony in society.

Anger will actually kill our sense of good and reason. Resort to take revenge will also put our relationship with others in jeopardy. It might also stop our progress in achieving goals or spiritual activities if let uncontrolled. Sometimes, you can't even sleep properly or eat as usual when your mind is full of anger, right?

How to control your anger...

1. Take a deep breath
2. Sit down or lean against the wall or lie down if that could reduce your anger
3. Drink water
4. Take 'wudhu' (for muslims)
5. Pray (for muslims)
6. Recite Al-Quran (for muslims)
7. Set your mind to accept others as they are
8. Accept difficulties as part of life
9. Be positive and treat every obstacle as a challenge
10. Talk to your family or friends
11. Do something of your interest

>>Suhaib reported that Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: Strange are the ways of a believer for there is good in every affair of his and this is not the case with anyone else except in the case of a believer for if he has an occasion to feel delight, he thanks (God), thus there is a good for him in it, and if he gets into trouble and shows resignation (and endures it patiently), there is a good for him in it.<<
